documentary.

While studying abroad in Rome, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Italian culture and history through a Documentary Production class.

I worked as a director, cinematographer, and editor for the short documentary.

As an Environmental Studies minor, I took interest in the continuously running fountains — from the monumental Trevi Fountain to the small drinking fountains lining the streets — and chose to base the video around this topic.

The title of the documentary — 'The Sound of Rome' — was inspired by a quick street interview with a local. When asked about the fountains, he replied, "Once the cacophony of daytime sound quiets down, you get to hear the true sound of Rome: the fountains."

Shot with Nikon D5100. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Screening:
'The Sound of Rome' was selected for screening in the
2019 Centrally Isolated Film Festival at Cornell University.
